Checking For Wear If you want us to do the checking for you, we can arrange for one of our service technicians to come out to your facility and check the punch press for you, for just the cost of the travel. Or let us know where you are located and when we get close to your area, we’ll perform the check at no cost to you.
Worn Area #1 A good sign of a worn turret is visual gauges and by just feeling for rough areas in the station. Both will wear out tooling rapidly. The best test, however is to use a dial indicator to measure the wear as shown below. Tool Check #1 Insert a new tool into the station and on the top of the guide, place the dial indicator as shown and take a reading as you are pushing the tool away form you. Tool Check #2 Then by pulling the tool towards yourself, take the reading and the difference is how off your tolerance is. [+] TOOL CHECK #2	After The Tolerance in this instance is about 0.010” off. We recommend that any station over 0.005” should be sleeved. [+] CHECK#2 CLOSE-UP

TSI can usually schedule the refurbishing of your Amada Turret Punch Press within 30 days, with the downtime lasting only about 2 days. After the initial installation, your personnel may replace the Kontempo Sleeves if needed, once again restoring your punch press to OEM specifications.
